Postpartum

Welcoming a new baby into the world can be an exciting yet overwhelming time. For this reason, public health officials work to provide education and support services through home visits and phone conversations to families with young children.

In an effort to protect, nurture and advance the lives of ALL Oneida County residents, health department staff make it a priority to ensure every new mom and baby in the county have all the resources they need.

Through a friendly phone conversation, health officials are able to screen for postpartum depression, provide safe sleep education, arrange for breast-feeding support, identify home health concerns, answer questions regarding child development and overall, connect families to the resources that are available to them.  If you have any questions, you can contact the health department at 715-369-6111.
